I love Holidays and Easter is one of my favorites, so I thought I would share all the goodies I put together for Ryder’s first Easter basket. We are celebrating his first Easter in our Vacation Rental House Lodi Landing in Lodi, CA.

Baby's First Easter Basket

What can I put in a newborn’s Easter basket?

I get it, you want to give your tiny special someone an Easter basket, but easter candy is a no-go so what do you put in there? I picked items that would have a life past Easter because we live in a very tiny house and don’t have a lot of storage space for items like Easter baskets.

The Customized Basket I picked will be used for toy storage after the holiday (and for every Easter for the rest of his life, ha) and I got it in green to match the decor in his nursery. I will write notes from the Easter Bunny in his board books so we can remember his first Easter. I got some pool items because we have a pool in Lodi and swim season is right around the corner. Have fun with your baby’s Easter basket and buy cute items that they will use past the holiday. Make sure you take photos so you can remember your baby’s first Easter.

Babys First Easter Basket Ideas

Easter Essentials for the Whole Family

Once your baby’s first Easter basket is lovingly put together, it’s a great time to think about how you’ll make the holiday special for the rest of the family—and yourself. From thoughtful additions for older siblings to festive décor and your own Easter style, here are some of my favorite ways to round out the celebration.

Grade School Kids' Easter Baskets

As your children grow, their baskets evolve too. I’ve compiled some of my favorite ideas for grade school kids' Easter baskets, including creative crafts, small games, books, and practical goodies they’ll actually use. These fun, age-appropriate ideas help keep the Easter magic alive for the bigger kids.

Easter Candy

If you’ve got older kids, you’ll definitely want to stock up on Easter candy for their egg hunt. Think chocolate bunnies, classic jelly beans, and some fun new treats to surprise them. Mixing a few healthy or allergy-friendly options into the candy stash is always a good idea too.

Indoor Easter Decor

To add a festive feel inside your home, check out my printable Easter wall art collection. These designs are a simple and stylish way to bring seasonal charm to your space. Just download, print, and frame to instantly refresh your walls for the holiday.

Outdoor Easter Decor

I love decorating the outside of my home with a beautiful Easter wreath. Whether you go for something elegant and floral or fun and colorful, it’s a simple way to welcome spring and share the spirit of the season before guests even step inside.

Easter Dresses

Once the kids’ baskets are filled and the house looks festive, I like to choose the perfect Easter dress for myself. Whether you’re heading to church, brunch, or snapping family photos, a great dress can make the day feel extra special and give you that fresh spring feeling.

Easter Nails

Don’t forget the finishing touch: Easter nails. A pretty manicure in pastel shades, florals, or even bunny-themed designs is a small but fun way to celebrate. It’s a little self-care moment that makes all the prep and planning feel worthwhile.

Funny Easter Tee Shirts

If dresses aren’t your thing (or you want something fun to wear leading up to the holiday), I’ve rounded up the best funny Easter tee shirts. Think bunnies, puns, pastel colors, and playful prints that bring a smile—great for Easter egg hunts, school drop-offs, or just lounging with your little ones.
